This post has started as many things but due to some deadlines and other unforeseen things it has ended as a little peak into my morning on the day I’m writing this. A simple morning.
I’ll show you a bit of what I made for breakfast, but most of the post is about my make-up look today.
I started my day with this pretty pink smoothie and a bowl of muesli with kiwi and pineapple. As you can see on the picture I’ve fried my pineapple a bit, this is to get rid of the enzymes that breakdown your tongue and make your mouth sting.
The muesli is a homemade glutenfree one, I can’t take credit for the recipe because I didn’t come up with it. It is basically oats, seeds, almonds, coconut sugar and cinnamon. Today I topped it with some vanilla soy-milk.
For a while I’ve been in a make-up slump. I haven’t bothered to put any on on a day to day basis. Recently however I’ve kind of re-discovered my love for make-up. So I’ve tried to prioritize doing my make-up in the morning. This (and the fact that my liquid eye-liner has dried up on me) means that I’ve been doing my make-up pretty simple and soft looking lately.
The Face
My foundation as well as my concealer are from the Urban Decay Naked skin range. I really like the finish and cover of the foundation. The concealer is a bit light for me, it works for brightening the under-eye area but don’t really fit anywhere else on my face.
My powder is a translucent loose powder from MAC. I LOVE translucent powders, I don’t use a lot of powder and I don’t top up my make-up during the day. So colored powders are always either too light or to dark for my complexion during the different seasons. But with translucent powders I never have to worry about that!
My blush is a mix of two colors from my OFRA blush pallet. I really like this orangey-brown blush look at the moment.
My contour is as always my Benefit Hoola.
The Eyes
The eyes are very simple. I’ve just used a shimmery rosa colour on my entire eyelid and then added a warm rusty colour in the crease. The eyeshadow I’ve used are all from MAC.
I’ve just topped it with some mascara. I suggest you always use your favorite mascara for the most fabulous lashes.
On my brows ( I don’t care that much about brows but I do filled them in sometimes) I’ve used my Eylure pencil and Gel.
On the Lips
I’ve just thrown some nude lipstick on today the specific one is MAC’s velvet teddy. Definitely my go-to nude lipstick, I like that it has a somewhat matte look without being drying.
